This is usually due to the fact that buyers tend to wait until the start of the new year, but there was a fairly noticeable decline in year-on-year sales in the December 2024 Top 10 Two-Wheeler Sales Chart as well. Any mention or report regarding 2W must start with Hero Splendor. This phenomenon has been the best selling 2W car in India for a long time. With 1,92,438 units sold, Splendor accounted for 25.63% of the total sales of this chart and registered a decline of 15.50% YoY and 34.51% MoM.
Splendor’s loss was 35,310 units year-on-year and 1,01,390 units monthly, compared to 2,27,748 units sold in December 2023 and 2,93,828 units sold in November 2024. In second place, we have Honda Activa with a total of 1,20,981 units sold last month. . Compared to 1,44,335 units sold last year and 2,06,844 units sold in the previous month, Activa saw a decline of 16.68% YoY and 41.51% MoM, losing 23,354 units YoY and 85,863 units MoM. Honda Shine ranked third and accounted for 13.43% of sales on this list. With 1,00,841 units sold, Shine was the first car to record a year-on-year growth of 18.44%, but monthly sales declined by 30.71%. At 88,668 units, we have TVS Jupiter which also registered a YoY growth of 48.93%. Just like Shine, Jupiter’s month-over-month sales decreased by 11.07%.
At the fifth position, we have Bajaj Pulsars with 65,571 units sold. Compared to 1,06,734 units sold in December 2023 and 1,14,467 units sold in November 2024, Pulsar saw a decline of 38.57% YoY and 42.72% MoM. Suzuki Access 125 ranks among the top 10 two-wheelers of December 2025 at number 6 with 51,180 units sold and is down 3.19% YoY and 3.58% MoM. The company has just launched the new Access 125 at the Auto Expo 2025.

Hero MotoCorp’s second entrant in the segment is the HF Deluxe with 41,713 units sold. Just like the Splendor pattern, HF Deluxe lost volume at 19,343 units on a yearly basis and 74,708 units on a monthly basis. TVS’s evergreen XL100 occupied the eighth position on this chart with 33,092 units sold. There was a decline of 13.58% y/y and 27.94% m/m, which represents a volume loss of 5,198 units y/y and 12,831 units m/m.
At the ninth position, we have the Royal Enfield Classic 350 with 29,637 units sold and it was the only company in this list to record year-on-year growth in both annual growth (39.57%) and monthly growth (7.72%). Finally, we have Bajaj Platina at 10th position with 25,584 units sold and recording a decline of 2.22% YoY and 42.61% MoM. In total, the top 10 two-wheelers accounted for 7,50,705 units in December 2024, with a decline of 8.91% YoY and 34.66% MoM.
