New Bajaj Pulsar N160 Single Seat Variant Price Rs 1.23 L.
A single seat may be more important in the Indian context, as it can accommodate more passengers and carry a variety of daily loads
Bajaj has introduced a new single-seater variant of the popular Pulsar N160 motorcycle. The Pulsar N160 will likely help the Fulffil family meet their needs, and the Pulsar N160 will appeal to a new segment of users. This variant is around Rs 10,000 cheaper than the standard base variant.
Bajaj Pulsar N160 Single Seat Variant – Key Highlights
In addition to the one-piece seat replacing the split seats, there are some other changes as well. For example, the trim grab bars at the rear have been replaced with a more robust grab rail. This will be useful when more passengers are needed to be accommodated. The thick rail appears to be strong enough to support heavy loads. Earlier too, Bajaj configured its products in line with the practical necessities or users.
An example of this is the Bajaj Freedom CNG bike which comes with an extra long seat. A similar approach is probably being used for the Pulsar N160 as well. The single seat of the Pulsar N160 feels quite comfortable for both the rider and Pillion. The closed front section should ensure extra comfort for long trips. The seat is narrow in the front, making it easier for users to place their feet on the floor.
The PULSAR N160 single seat variant features running 37mm telescopic forks at the front and NITROX Monoshock suspension at the rear. The bike has 300mm and 230mm disc brakes at the front and rear, respectively. However, compared to the standard base variant which has dual-channel ABS, the single-seat variant gets single-channel ABS.
The top variant of the Pulsar N160 is equipped with a 37mm USD fork in a gold finish. The Pulsar N160 has 17-inch wheels at both ends, wrapped in 100/80 front and 130/70 rear tires. The bike has a ground clearance of 165mm and a 14-litre fuel tank. A higher seat height of 795mm helps achieve optimal control and handling.
Pulsar N160 Performance
Powering the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is a 164.82 cc, single cylinder, SOHC, 2 valve, air-cooled engine. It generates 16 ps and 14.65 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed constant gearbox. In terms of its visual profile, the Pulsar N160 single seat variant is the same as the standard base variant. There are no changes to colors and graphics. The bike has LED headlights with LED DRLS. At the back, there is an LED tail light with a glitter pattern. Turn indicators are halogen units.
