Bookings for the Hero Xtreme 250R will start in February, deliveries are set for March
The Hero Xtreme 250R debuted at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.80 lakh. The bike is expected to be available at dealerships across India soon. The bike maker revealed through its social media channels that pre-orders for the bike will begin next month, with deliveries slated for March. Positioned in the competitive quarter liter segment, the Xtreme 250R aims to attract enthusiasts with its impressive design, advanced features and impressive performance. Equipped with a powerful 250cc liquid-cooled engine, the bike promises a balance between speed and efficiency, making it suitable for urban commuting and spirited riding. With features like a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity and LED lighting, the Xtreme 250R is expected to stand out in its class.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Mechanical Core
The Xtreme 250R is powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. This newly developed powertrain, which will also be featured in the upcoming Karizma XMR 250, delivers 30 bhp. maximum power at 9250 rpm and 25 Nm of peak torque at 7250 rpm.

It achieves impressive acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h in just 3.25 seconds. The setup also features an assist and slipper clutch for a smoother performance.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Hardware and Features
The bike is built on a steel trellis frame, possibly an upgraded version of the Karizma XMR chassis. It rides on 17-inch wheels and has disc brakes at both ends, complemented by switchable ABS. Suspension duties are handled by 43mm upside-down forks up front and a six-speed monoshock with adjustable preload out back. Brakes are handled by single petal discs with ByBre calipers. The bike’s 50-50 weight distribution improves tire grip and handling agility.
In terms of features, the Xtreme 250R boasts of a TFT digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, offering turn-by-turn navigation, multimedia controls, vehicle diagnostics and call/SMS notifications. Additional highlights include a slide timer, lap timer, full LED lighting and smartphone integration.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Style
The design is characterized by a sharply contoured fuel tank with protruding extensions, a low-mounted headlight, a muscular exhaust and a two-seat seating arrangement. The angular part of the tail complements his athletic stance. Shown in black and red at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo, the Xtreme 250R is expected to be available in more color options soon. Its overall aesthetic reflects a mix of styles, giving the bike a distinctive and eye-catching appearance.
